Practical visit notes
- Ankara has high diplomatic foot-traffic; appointments around embassy quarters can be tighter than other provinces.
- Counter staff generally expect Turkish; bring a translator or a Turkish-speaking friend if your file involves any non-routine question.
- Documents from third countries usually need an apostille AND a sworn-translator translation into Turkish — the office turns away missing apostilles.
